Abstract
The objectives of this thesis about The Students’s Strategies in Learning Vocabolary. The main problem discussed in this thesis are the way the students implemented their strategies in learning vocabulary or student steps to learn vocabulary. This study aims to know the students’ strategies in learning vocabulary. The type of research is a qualitative research method. The research was conducted in Pesantren Modern Nurul Hakim. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, using research instruments, namely interview and documentation. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The sources of data in this study there are 2 main respondents, they are teacher and students. The results of this study showed that there are findings students do or apply steps in learning vocabulary such as (1). Preparing Learning Materials, (2). Learning a number of vocabulary (3). Learning types of vocabulary, (4). How to learn vocabulary, (5). Direct Exercise.
