Abstract

At Mas Ummikalsum kota GunungSitoli, this study analyzed pupils' difficulties in improving their listening skills. Classroom Action Research (C.A.R.) was used to carry out the study. Four meetings comprised each of the two action cycles the Research was divided into. Planning, doing, observing, and reflecting were the steps in the research process. Using saturation sampling, first-graders at M.A.S. Ummikalsum Gunung Sitoli were chosen as the research sample. There were 27 students in total in the sample, and all of them were female. Data-gathering methods included administering exams, interviewing the students, witnessing the teaching and learning process, and documentation. The test, interview guidelines, and observation sheet were the equipment employed in this study. The Researcher compared the mean listening scores of the students after evaluating the quantitative data using the CALL method. As a result of Miles' analysis of the qualitative data, qualitative descriptions were created. According to the study's findings, the students watched English-language movies with English audio. According to the Research's findings, students' enthusiasm for learning English, particularly in listening, has increased. The pre-test average was 57,9. The mean of post-test 1 was 71,8, and the mean of post-test 2 was 80,3, showing that the second cycle's scores and mean were higher than those of the first cycle. Put another way; the students are more motivated and interested in learning the English Listening CALL method. The pupils are highly enthusiastic about learning English using the CALL technique
