Abstract
This study aims to find out the correlation between the students’ listening ability and their vocabulary mastery at MAS Plus Al Ulum Medan grade 2 of social science 1 in the 2022/2023 school year. The subject of this quantitative research is the eleventh grade of Social Science 1 of MAS Plus Al Ulum Medan and the total of the population was 33 students. The instruments were tests including matching test for vocabulary and multiple-choice test for listening through TED Talk video. The video was converted to audio version and trimmed into several clips. The data was analyzed using Ms. Excel manually and SPSS IBM using Pearson’s Coefficient Correlation formulation. Further, the researcher found that the value of Pearson correlation was 0 and the significance 5% (0.05) was 1. The result of this research showed that there was no correlation or low correlation between two variables, listening ability and vocabulary mastery at MAS Al-Ulum Plus Medan.
