Abstract
Homophones game is a game about words with the same pronunciation but with different meanings, this game can also help the student to master homophones. This game also helps students in dealing with difficulties with hearing and writing. This research was conducted on the basis of knowing the effect of the homophone game strategy on students' English pronunciation. This homophone game makes students interested and likes to learn English words correctly through this game, so this homophone game strategy has an effect on students' English pronunciation. This study uses a quantitative method and the respondents in this study were 32 students of class VIII-1 who were absent, with a total of 30 answers. Data was collected by means of tests such as pre-test and post-test and documentaries. The results of this study are intended to determine the effect of students' English pronunciation after using the homophone game strategy, which can be seen from the results of the pre-test the average score of students is 51.92 and the standard deviation is 14.29. Meanwhile, in the post-test, the students' mean score was 75.57 and the standard deviation was 9.77.
