Abstract
RThis research aimed to find out the improving of the students’Kreading comprehension by using collaborativeMstrategic reading. This research wasconducted by using ClassroomFAction Research (CAR). The subject of this researchKwas X-C grade of SMAS ShalahuddiinAl-Munawwarah in 2020/2021 academicNyear and consistedMof 28 students. The objective of this researchNwasMto improve students’ readingkcomprehension by using Collborative Strategic ReadingM(CSR) at tenth grade of SMAS Shalahuddiin Al-Munawwarah. Thissresearchtwas conducted in two cycles and each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Thentechniques of analysis data were quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data were taken from tests, theetests consist of pre-test and post-test. While the qualitative data were taken fromb observation, interview, diary notes, andndocumentation. The result of the dataa analysisnshowed that there was an improvement in the students’ readinggcomprehension afterjimplementing Collaborative Strategic Reading. Inmthe pre-test the students mean was 57 andkthe students who passed the KKM were 4 studentsmof 28 students or 14%. In the post- test I the students mean was 72 anddthe studentshwho passed KKM were 13 students of 28 students or 46%. And ind thekpost-test II the students mean was 83 and the students whopassed KKM were 23 studentskof 28 students or 82%. And based on theuobservation sheet, interview, diaryynotes andmdocumentation, the students were active and enjoy in participationn and responses during the teaching-learning process. In the othertwords, the students’ readingycomprehension was improved by usingg Collaborativee StrategicuReading (CSR).
