Abstract

Based on the formulation of the problem this research aims: "(1) To find out the Implementation of Religious Character Education for Children Aged 5-6 Years at TKIT Zia Salsabila, (2) To find out how teachers implement religious character education for children aged 5-6 years, (3) To find out the obstacles and efforts made by the teacher in implementing TKIT Zia Salsabila's religious character education. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. In the process of collecting data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation methods. This research was carried out on children aged 5-6 years at TKIT Zia Salsabila with data sources obtained directly from school principals, teachers and students, totaling 17 children. The results of this study are: (1) Implementation of Children's Religious Character Education at TKIT Zia has been going well, (2) The religious character education method for children at TKIT Zia Salsabila is to use exemplary methods, habituation and storytelling,, (3) Constraints and the teacher's efforts in implementing religious character education are Obstacles in implementing religious character education, one of which is the factor of nutritional or food intake and bad environmental factors which greatly affect the development of children's religious character. Educational efforts to develop religious character education can be started by creating a conducive learning environment. Educators become good role models for students and have moral values and use opportunities to influence their students.
