Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative Learning Strategy on student learning outcomes in digestive system material in class VII. That student learning outcomes in class VII are low because they only use the lecture, question and answer method, because there is little learning time. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach (Quasi-experimental). The instruments used are pretest and posttest. The sampling technique was carried out using Cluster sampling with a sample size of 60 students consisting of two classes, from a research population of 90. The research results show that the tcount value is 12,119, while ttable can be calculated from the t-test table with α = 0.05 and ttable 1.697. The value obtained is tcount > ttable, namely 12,119 > 1.697, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is a significant influence on the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Strategy. Based on the research results above, learning using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Strategy is suitable for teachers to implement as a solution to improving student learning outcomes in biology subjects.
