Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years through busy book media at RA Al-Ikhlas Jl. Tuba II No 54 Kel.T.S Mandala III. The subjects in this study were teachers and children aged 4-5 years totaling 12 children in RA Al-Ikhlas. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This classroom action research is divided into two cycles covering the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This research is collaborative because of the collaboration between the researcher and the classroom teacher. Observation and documentation were used as data collection methods. The results of this study can be seen from the teacher's activities in the first cycle which scored 3.22 with a good category in the learning process through busy book media, and the fine motor skills of children who scored 61.66% with the category developing according to expectations of 12 children already 10. children improve fine motor skills through busy book media. While the results of the research in the second cycle of teacher activity obtained a value of 3.86 with a very good category due to an increase in the learning process and the children's fine motor skills obtained a value of 92.5% with a very well developed category from 12 children, 11 children increased fine motor skills through busy book media. Based on the results of the study, the use of busy book media can improve the fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at RA Al-Ikhlas.
