Abstract

Spelling bee is one of the first pronouniation developed in the united states, this pronounciation is usually done during competitions in America, but now many people are changing it from a competition event to an arena for advancing this into education. The method used in this research is quantitative research method which uses pre-experimental research. As for the number of informants in this study amount 32 persons. This research was conducted at Mts N Sei Kanan at eight grade. The development of education is currently so advanced and developing and also seen so clearly in everydaily life. Iit is known that the significance value of Sig. Amounting to 0.000, which means that the significance value of 2 tailed <0.05, according to the basis for decision making, it is obtained that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an influence of spelling bee games on students' vocabulary mastery. The quality of education was seen in terms of the methods used by teachers in educating their students. Therefore, it’s necessary to do something a planning and method that can improve students’ abilities in learning English.
