Abstract
This study aims to analyze (1) the teacher's ability to design online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Khairul Imam Integrated Islamic School Medan. (2) The ability of teachers to carry out online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Khairul Imam Medan Integrated Islamic School. (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors related to the teacher's ability to carry out online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Khairul Imam Medan Integrated Islamic School. In the process of collecting data, researchers used the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation (data display) and conclusions (verification). The data is declared valid after going through the triangulation technique test. The results of the study showed that Khairul Imam Medan Integrated Islamic School teachers were competent in implementing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the analysis conducted on 5 teachers in the religious field, it showed that the teacher's ability to design learning was 76.6% in the good category, 64% in the good category of implementing learning, utilizing technology 63.3% in the good category and 81% in learning evaluation with the very good category. So, the results of the overall analysis of the teacher's ability to carry out online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic were in the good category with a percentage of 71.22%. This is marked by (1) the school's efforts to provide workshops, training and webinars on making virtual lesson plans, and (2) training for teachers in using online applications as online learning media. Furthermore, the supporting factors in implementing online learning are free quotas from the government, wifi from schools and webinars/training on designing online learning plans and using online learning applications. Even so, there are obstacles in designing online learning, namely the unstable network and the design of lesson plans that are not in accordance with the conditions of implementation. Meanwhile, the obstacles in its implementation are that teachers still have difficulty using technology in using online learning applications, it is difficult to determine appropriate strategies and methods according to student abilities, teachers find it difficult to assess student learning outcomes objectively, and students lack discipline and honesty in carrying out assignments.
