Abstract

This research is dealing with quantitative study on student’s reading comprehension. The aims of this research were: (1) to find out wether there was an increase of student’s reading comprehension after being taught using predicting strategy by THT E-Paper applicataion. (2) to find out some effect of using predicting strstegy by THT E-paper on student reading comprehension. The research was conducted on the Tenth Grade Student at SMA Teladan at jln. Medan, Sei Rampah subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai district, North Sumaterathe sample of this research was class X-IPA and X-IPS academic year 2021/2022. The instrument of collecting data was pre-test and post-test in form of 20 questions of multiple choice test. The result of t-test showed thatsig 2 tailed (0,000) was smaller than ttable (0,05). In line with the data, it means that that null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, because ttable (0,00< 0,05). It indicates that score between experimental and control class was different after applying treatment. In another words, Predicting strategy with THT E- paper has significant effect on students’ reading comprehension at SMA Teladan Sei Rampah.
