Abstract
As we know in this era, technology is very important in all aspect, technological advances have had an impact on all aspects of people's lives, personal lives, and also education. In the classroom, teachers and students can take advantage of technology based learning, one of the many applications emerging in the techonology world is Canva. Canva is an application in which attractive designs are available in the form of templates, features and online based categories. The process of learning Canva is not boring because there are various designs that are diverse and interesting. This study aims to determine students' perception of using Canva application in English class. This research is a qualitative research method. The participants in this research were 7 EFL Pre- service teachers at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan. The data in this study were collected by interview and analyzed in three ways, namely data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. The findings in this study according to the perceptions of all participants, it can be concluded that the Canva application is easy to use, Canva is a good application, Canva is helpful, Canva is useful, Canva is easy to access, Canva is easy to understand, Canva is effective, Canva is efficient, Canva is interesting, Canva is an amazing application and Canva made more creative and can also facilitate EFL Pre-service teachers in the Creative Writing class because it has a free templates, features, fonts available and can be used immediately so it does not require a lot of effort that much when used so it can save time.
