Abstract

Reading comprehension is the ability to process the text and understand the meaning of the text. Reading through questioning technique can improve the skill of thinking but it can also be a problem for some individuals. This study aims to determined An Analysis Of Students’ Problem In Reading Comprehension Through Questioning Technique at The VIII Grade Of SMP Pahlawan Nasional Medan. The researcher took place to get the data in SMP Pahlawan Nasional Medan with research subject in class VIII-3. This study uses qualitative descriptive method to collect the data by using observation, interview and documentation. In that process, the researcher found the students’ problem in reading comprehension through questioning technique such as; problem in concentration, problem in understanding vocabulary, difficult to read long sentence, the students cannot arrange word in English (not understand grammar) and not understand how to pronounce the word (error pronunciation). Nowadays, general problem based on the fact showed in pronunciation and vocabulary. So, reading comprehension through questioning technique still being a problem for some of students.
