This research aims to obtain and explain the socio-cultural educational value of social studies learning in shaping student character through the integration of socio-cultural educational values. With the aim of education at school and outside school, it will continue to influence students, by influencing, guiding and inviting students to have the intended character. The method used in this research is qualitative. This research analyzes the social and cultural educational value of social studies learning to shape the character of sixth grade elementary school students. This research provides recommendations for developing social studies learning that is more effective in forming students' character with noble character and good citizenship. The results of the research show that the socio-cultural educational value of social studies learning has a very strategic role in forming student character. The value of socio-cultural education in social studies learning that has been integrated includes cultural diversity; mutual cooperation; responsibility; justice; honesty; environment; tolerance; democracy; nationalism and peace. Meanwhile, students' character is also formed in the form of faith and devotion to God Almighty; global diversity; mutual cooperation; creative; critical reasoning; independent.
