Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services with modeling techniques on students' learning motivation. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental research design in the form of a pre-test group (before being treated) and a post-test group (after being treated). The population in this study were 60 students of class XI IPS2 and XI IPS3 at SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan, and 16 students were selected as samples using purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study are that there is an effect on students' learning motivation through group guidance services using modeling techniques. This is known by the t-test which shows that the significant value is 0.028 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted or there is an influence between the independent variable (group guidance services) on the dependent variable (student learning motivation) together in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan.
