Abstract

The Angkola people have a philosophy of life which is used as a guide by the Angkola people in living their daily lives. The philosophy of life that exists among this community is Poda Na Lima. This research aims to obtain a more in-depth picture of whether poda na lima is still practiced in the community and how the image of poda na lima is related to Islam in village communities in Siloting and Batang Bahal, Padangsidimpuan Batunadua District. The Do it with method used is qualitative research methods and data collection is carried out through a series of in-depth interviews and role observations at the research location. Research data shows that Poda Na Lima still has an influence on the daily lives of the people of Siloting and Batang Bahal villages. The practice of Islam in Poda Na Lima in the villages of Siloting and Batang Bahal is proven by the awareness of the people who always care about the social environment. Apart from that, the people of Siloting and Batang Bahal villages are also included in the community who love good cleanliness, cleanliness of themselves, clothes, houses and the village environment. This is no different from the teachings of Islam which teaches about cleanliness
