Abstract
The research "The Supervision Role of Madrasah Heads in Improving Teacher Professionalism at MTs Al Washliyah Ismailiyah Medan" aims to describe how the role of madrasah principals' supervision in preparing learning tools, how the role of madrasah principals in mastering teacher material, mastery of teacher learning methods, and what are the inhibiting factors and support in improving teacher professionalism. This research uses a qualitative research type. The sources of information for this research were the head of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Madrasah for curriculum and student affairs, and teachers and staff. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions or verification. Techniques to guarantee the validity of the data by means of triangulation of data, transferability and confirmability. The results of this study are that the supervisory role of the madrasah principal in compiling learning tools at MTs Al Washliyah Ismailiyah Medan involves all parties in the organization by deliberation, mastery of teacher material is in accordance with the professional abilities of teachers, teacher learning methods here seek to improve mastery of their own learning methods, not so many supporting and inhibiting factors. It's just that here there is always good cooperation between the principal and the teacher, and the teacher and the teacher.
