Abstract

Student management skills have a very important influence in shaping disciplinary behavior in madrasas, this is because student management skills are the controller of various student activities, one of which is about discipline development. The head of the madrasa is the person who has enormous responsibility for the success of an educational institution in coordinating, guiding and moving all student activities that have been planned and implemented, therefore the head of the madrasa must have certain skills both in terms of planning, implementing and evaluating student management . This research was conducted at MAS Al-Junaidiyah, Puncak Sorik Marapi District, Mandailing Natal Regency with the formulation of the problem to determine whether there is an effect of the madrasah principal's student management skills on student discipline at MAS Al-Junaidiyah, Puncak Sorik Marapi District, Mandailing Natal Regency. The research method used in this research is quantitative with associative descriptive approach. With a population of all students in class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2, totaling 50 students. The sample consisted of 50 students using purposive sampling, which is a sampling technique in which the researcher relies on his own judgment when selecting members of the population to participate in the study. From the data management that has been carried out, the results of the research are that the Student Management of the Head of Madrasah has a positive effect on Student Discipline at MAS Al-Junaidiyah, Puncak Sorik Marapi District, Mandailing Natal Regency. It can be seen from the obtained value Fhtung = 12.294 with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 which means Ha is accepted. Then the value of rxy = 0.452, which means that the influence of Madrasah Head Student Management on Student Discipline at Mas Al-Junaidiyah, Puncak Sorik Marapi District, Mandailing Natal Regency is Medium.
