Abstract
This research is an analysis of the personal branding of literacy activists in North Sumatra through an Instagram account that can influence the development of the library world. By using qualitative methods and character studies. The results of the analysis of this study are the personal brand elements of literacy activists, namely Leadership, Specialization, Difference, Firmness, Appearance, Personality, Unity, Good Name. From these results, we get a personal brand focus from literacy activists such as Arbi Zulham as a school literacy consultant, Muhammad Saufi Ginting as a storyteller, Laila Sari, a family consultant, Ismail Pong, community, social and environmental empowerment, and Muhammad Faisal as a literacy biker. then their perception of the personal brand they have built towards the world of libraries from the activities they do and their posts on Instagram such as their synergy with libraries and interest in reading in North Sumatra which has a lot of positive impacts. Then the personal brand strategy they built that can be applied to librarians, especially librarians in North Sumatra.
