Abstract

This study aims: 1) How is the effectiveness of planning on change management in organizational development, (2) how is the effectiveness of organizing on change management in organizational development, (3) the effectiveness of coordination in change management, (3) how is the effectiveness of supervision on change management in organizational development , (4) the role of the principal in the management of change in organizational development. This type of research is qualitative, the approach in this study uses a descriptive approach. As inside informants, this research consisted of principals, vice principals, educators and administrative staff. Research data collection techniques using research methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The technique of guaranteeing the validity of the data is with credibility, transferability, dependability, confirmability. The results of this study indicate that there are three most important points in the effectiveness of change management in developing the organization of SMP Al-Hidayah, namely: In change management, the principal does planning according to the needs of students and then by organizing by dividing tasks for teachers to carry out planning, then supervision is to find out the implementation of change management. In the development of the principal's organization, namely the implementation of morning apple activities, dhuha prayer, and tadarus alqur'an after the midday prayer. The supporting factor is the willingness of teachers and students to become better at implementing religious values. The inhibiting factor is the lack of competent human resources (HR), loyal to change. Keywords: change management, organizational development
