Abstract
The problem in this study is the number of complaints parents have about learning from home (online). The purpose of this study was to determine the views of parents on learning Islamic religious education at home during the pandemic. This research was conducted in Medan Marelan District. When the research was carried out in August 2020 to September 2020. The total informants needed were 3 parents of students, 4 Islamic religious teachers and 3 students, a total of 10 informants to convey their views on learning Islamic Religious Education at home during this pandemic. This study used qualitative research methods. It can be concluded in this study that learning Islamic Religious Education at home is considered less effective. Parents' views on learning Islamic Religious Education from home (online learning) are: 1) not all children have internet and technologybased learning facilities due to different family economic conditions so that there are difficulties for parents regarding the provision of learning facilities, 2) people parents do not have the same academics so that in accompanying children to learn, parents find it difficult, 3) children are not disciplined in time in doing assignments so that learning from home is considered by parents to be ineffective, 4) assignments given by the teacher are not very clear, 5) Parents hope that the pandemic will end soon, and the children can go to school as usual
