Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Mind Mapping on student’s writing narrative text at Mts Swasta Miftahul Husna. Data was obtained from 50 students, that were selected from a total population of 230 students using questionnaires, and, was analyzed using the mind mapping techniques. Furthermore, the analysis was carried out through descriptive and quantitative methods. The empirical results of the hypothesis test was obtained using the SPSS it showed that the results of the using Mind Mapping was better than using conventional learning, it can be seen from the result of the table 81.52 ≥ 70% of the KKM set, so it can be concluded that 1 is accepted and 0 is rejected by using mind mapping and 41.56 <70% of the specified KKM, so it can be concluded that 0 is accepted and 1 is rejected by using conventional learning. Therefore, the t-test, namely the Independent Sample T-Test through the SPSS program. shows that the P value > 0.05 is rejected, and is also supported by the t-count table value, which is 7.811 > 0.00 with df = 48 at the 5% significance level is 0.00, so H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected.
