Abstract

The Teacher-Librarian phenomenon that occurs at STIKES Asy-Syifa, the STIKES Asy-Syifa library applies the Teacher-Librarian concept so that students play a more active role in learning activities. The Asy-Syifa STIKES Library implements Teacher-Librarian because many students do not know much about searching and searching for information, especially new students who have difficulty understanding the information provided by lecturers during learning activities. Students are mobilized to study and search for information. in the library supervised by librarians at the STIKES Asy-Syifa library. This research aims to find out how teacher librarians are implemented in the Stikes Asy Syifa Kisaran library. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Research is located at the STIKES Asy-Syifa Kisaran Library which is located at Jl. Durian Lk. IV, Kel. Naga Range, District. East Range- Kab. Asahan, North Sumatra. Determining the sample in this research used the purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques were by observation and interviews. And documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction and data validity uses triangulation. The research results showed that. In implementing the teacherlibrarian at the Asy-Syifa Kisaran Library, the librarian collaborates with the staff in an independent study program scheduled at the library. Teacher-librarians who, in their role as teachers, play a role in teaching information skills and managing that information. Meanwhile, his role as an information services manager is to provide students with skills in using existing information sources, whether sourced from books or information obtained on the internet, with the hope of supporting students in learning and managing information.
