Abstract
In Indonesia, where its prevalence is rising annually, hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that continues to be a health concern. Not only is hypertension prevalent in urban regions, but it's also a major issue, with many cases occurring along coastal borders. With 108 samples—54 cases and 54 controls—this research approach combines analytical observational research and a case-control study design. Tensimeters, microtoists, and measurement scales are used in conjunction with questionnaires and interviews in this research tool. Multivariate, bivariate, and univariate analysis were used in this study. Chisquare was utilized in bivariate analysis, and logistic regression was applied in multivariate analysis. The incidence of hypertension was found to be significantly influenced by the risk factors of age, heredity, obesity, smoking status, sodium consumption, stress, and sleep quality. The likelihood of developing hypertension was not substantially impacted by the risk factors of gender and physical activity. The age group over 45 years old is the independent variable risk factor that most affects the occurrence of hypertension. Based on the study's findings, health workers should focus on screening protocols, lifestyle education, and forming partnerships with local social support networks, such as elders, to facilitate the organization of government and health center programs. The study also found that age is the most influential factor, which cannot be changed.
