Abstract

Job stress is a problem that is often experienced by workers, especially when there is a mismatch between job demands and individual abilities. Excessive workload can be one of the factors causing work stress. This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload and work stress in employees at the Dynamo and Welding Workshop in Pusat Pasar Village. This study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 36 employees at the Dinamo and Welding Workshop in Kelurahan Pusat Pasar. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman-rho correlation test. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between workload and work stress, with a PR (Prevalence Ratio) value of 0.878 (95% CI: 0.605-1.342) and a significance (p) of 0.000. Most respondents (52.8%) experienced heavy workload, while 69.4% experienced low work stress. There is a positive relationship between workload and work stress among employees at Dinamo and Welding Workshop in Pasar Center Village. The higher the workload, the higher the level of work stress experienced by employees.
