Abstract

This research purposes, to determine the effect of students’ reading comprehension on reading texts in class X MA LAB UINSU MEDAN. Researchers used random sampling to implement research. In addition, there are 60 students as a sample . Data collection was carried out by providing random text, answering questions and documentation. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an increase in the average score of students’ ability to understand reading text. It was concluded that the test result showed that the random text strategy could help improve students’ reading comprehension. As a result, teachers can use this technique as a strategy to improve students’ reading comprehension. Keywords : Effect, Random Text, Reading Comprehension.
