Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to read Iqro' early childhood through guided strategies and singing strategies and how the influence of singing strategies on the ability to read Iqro' early childhood at RA Ummul Qura Stabat. This research is a quantitative research with an experimental method (Nonequivalent Control Group Design) by dividing the group into two classes, namely the experimental class (A1) with 10 children and the control class (A2) with 10 children. The instruments and data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used the Mann Whitney ranking test (U Test) with the steps taken, namely making a helper table for Ucount, calculating Ucount, determining the Utabel value and determining the test. The results of this study are: 1) The ability to read Iqro 'of children at RA Ummul Qura Stabat who is taught with a guided strategy based on the results of hypothesis testing shows a low category. 2) The ability to read Iqro 'of children at RA Ummul Qura Stabat who is taught with singing strategies based on the results of hypothesis testing shows a high category. 3) The singing learning strategy has a significant effect on the children's ability to read Iqro' at RA Ummul Qura Stabat.
