Abstract

This study discusses "Efforts to Preserve the Angguk Dance at the Angguk Marmoyo Tunas Baru Studio, Dalu XB City, Tanjung Morawa Region. The problem in this research is how the history of the development of the art of Angguk Dance in the community in Dalu XB Ci ty, Tanjung Morawa Regency, the variables that support and hinder efforts to preserve the Angguk Dance. After knowing the elements that support and hinder conservation efforts, then what efforts should be made to maintain and preserve the Angguk Dance performance in Dalu XB City. The type of strategy used in this observation can be in the form of subjective questions about strategy and using an anthropological approach. Information gathering procedures in this case through observation, interviews and documentation. The key witnesses in this reflection are the Elders of the Angguk Marmoyo Baru Studio, Person in Charge of the Angguk Marmoyo Baru Studio, Dalu X B Municipal Government, Experts, Players of the Angguk Marmoyo Studio, and the Dalu City Community X B. The reason for choosing this research theme is to describe the history of dance revival the. Attitudes in preserving are very diverse, until in the end the art of the Angguk Dance changed its function. Starting as a means of da'wah with Islamic inspiration, it became a means of entertainment for the public."
