Abstract

This study uses the production of descriptive English writing in Class 8 SMP Brigjend Katamso to characterize and explain the integration strategy. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to do this study. The data collection technique used by researchers is documentation, documentation is used by collecting the data needed in students' descriptive writings. There were 35 students in grade 8 SMP Brigjend Katamso Medan who were used as participants in this study. In assessing and analyzing data, researchers make use of content analysis. The most prominent cohesiveness found by researchers used by students is references. It found as many as 394 data, or 53.82%. The grammatical elements and lexical cohesiveness of students are proven to be used in their writing. Keywords: Analysis, Cohesion, Descriptive Text
