Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the Management of Al-Qur'an Tahfidz Education at SMP Al-Washliyah 1 Medan, which includes planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating. This study uses a qualitative research type with a phenomenological approach (phenomenology) using three data collection techniques in this study, namely: direct observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study was in the form of making a detailed description of Tahfizh Education Management in Forming the Qur'ani Generation at SMP Al-Washliyah 1 Medan. The participants who participated in this study were school principals, deputy principals and teachers in the field of tahfizh studies. Data analysis techniques in this study used the Miles and Huberman models with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Guarantees for the validity of the data in this study are credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study obtained information that the principal has four stages in carrying out Tahfizh Education Management at SMP Al-Washliyah 1 Medan, namely the planning stage, the organizing stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. Where at the planning stage the principal conducts deliberations with educators in preparing the plan, in organizing the principal gives legality to teachers who are considered competent in their field, in the implementation the teacher is given full responsibility by the principal for carrying out the tahfizh education and finally in evaluating the teacher with the head schools and other education staff together always evaluate the programs that have been implemented to find out how far the program has progressed. The conclusion from this study is that the application of the four management functions namely planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating in implementing Tahfizh Education in Forming Qur'ani Generation at SMP Al-Washliyah 1 Medan cannot be said to be running optimally, especially in the implementation function so that it causes obstacles -obstacles that slow down the process of achieving targets in accordance with predetermined conditions
