Abstract
This research aims to An Analysis of Students’ Reading Comprehension on Narative Text at SMAN 1 Kutacane. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas II IPA Plus SMAN 1 Kutacane. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa Based on the results of the analysis above, it shows that 23 students out of 30 students already have a good reading comprehension seen from the results of the answers of students who are able to fulfill the four indicators of reading comprehension of the given narrative text. Students are able to capture the contents of the reading, are able to summarize the reading, are able to answer questions based on the content of the reading, and are able to retell the contents of the reading. In addition, there are 7 students who have not been able to fulfill the four indicators of reading comprehension of the narrative text given so that it can be concluded that these 7 students have not been able to understand how to read properly using narrative text. So it can be concluded that the reading comprehension of class XI IPA Plus students at SMAN 1 Kutacane gets a good category, namely 76.6%.For future researchers, it is expected to further develop this research well when conducting research that is still related toAn Analysis of Students’ Reading Comprehension on Narative Text.
