Abstract

The results of Departement of Labor USA report showed 1,176,340 accidents and unfatal diseases that caused a worker to lose at least one working day in 2020, 32.4% higher than 2019. Knowing the determinant of the risk of work accidents in health workers in hospitals, is the purpose of this study. The quantitative research approach by utilizing cross-sectional design is used by researchers in conducting this study. In this study the secondary data analyzed was Risnakes data in 2017. The 2017 Risnakes questionnaire was used by researchers as instruments in the study. The results of the bivariate in this study revealed, there was a relationship between work accidents in health workers by having experienced unexpected cases (PR = 3,209, p = <,000), financial incentives which included performance allowances (PR = 0.736, p = <0.040); medical services (PR = 1,418, p = <0.009); transport costs (PR = 1,437, p = <0.009), retention which includes at home in duty (PR = 0.622, p = <0.020), job satisfaction which includes income earned commensurate with workload (PR = 1,575, p = <0.001) . As for all variables significantly related to the incidence of work accidents in health workers in hospitals, based on the results of studies conducted by researchers. Preventive and promotive efforts made to all health workers in the hospital are considered necessary to minimize the risk determinants of work accidents in health workers, which are suggestions for this study.
