Abstract

One of the language abilities that is crucial to learning a language is speaking. Speaking, according to Sanggam (2008), is the verbal productive talent. The ability to effectively convey information to an audience is a speaker's skill. In addition to hearing, reading, and writing, speaking is one of the four fundamental abilities in language learning. Speech refers to the power of the action of speaking, a manner or way of speaking, while speaking refers to the act of saying words, to say or talk about something, to have a conversation with someone in words, etc. Since speaking is the primary mode of communication, it follows that speaking is a crucial skill in daily life. Without speech, it is impossible to interact with others. Therefore, the primary goal of speaking is to convey our message to another person or to be able to talk about anything using a language that the listener can understand. inside MAN Asahan. By adopting a qualitative descriptive approach, this study explores the impact of the English club on students' speaking. The goal of this study was to find out how English club was implemented, whether it helped students speak more fluently, and what the teachers' and students' reactions were to it. Based on the data gathered, the researcher came to the conclusion that speaking ability improves student speaking, and students respond well to the introduction of English clubs. This is crucial in assisting pupils in their speaking practice.
