Abstract

The research that has been carried out is entitled “Factors of students learning weaknesses in speaking English in grade 2 MTs Al-Hamidiyah Sionggoton simangambat district north padang lawas regency” the objectives this study are: (1) To describe the factors of students learning weaknesses in speaking English. (2) To describe the dominant problem faced by student in English speaking. (3) To describe overcome the factors of students learning weaknesses in speaking English. This study uses qualitative method with descriptive approach. The informants of this research are 30 students grade 2 MTs Al-Hamidiyah Sionggoton Simangambat District North Padang Lawas Regency. This study uses observation, questionnaires, and documentation to collecting data. The process of data collection analysis in this study data analysis using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The result of this study indicate that are 14 students out of 30 students have high category. Based on the questionnaires items with very high scores, they will be presented for proposed student guidance topics to help students learning English.
