Abstract
This researcher was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) this researcher aimed to improve the Students’Pronunciation trough homophone games (H.G) as strategy. The subject of this research was the Eleventh Grade of IPS-2 SMA AsuhanDaya Medan Academic years 2018/2019 which consisted of 38 students. This research was conducted in two cycle which every cycle consisted og two meetings. the instruments of collecting data were quantitative data (pronunciation test) and qualitative data (observation, interview, diary notes, and documentation). Based on the pronunciation test, the students’ score kept improving in every cycle In the Pre Test, there were 10 students (26.32%) who passed the test. In the Post Test I, there were 27 students (71.05%) who passed the test. In the Post Test II, there were 31 students (81.57%) who passed the test. From the students’ score in every cycle, it was could be concluded that the students score keep improve in ever cycle. Based on the analyzed of observation sheet, interview, and diary notes, it was could be concluded that the learning process run well and the students were active, enthusiastic and interested in learning pronunciation. “the result of the research showed that homophone games significantly could improve the students’ pronunciation at the Eleventh Grade SMA AsuhanDaya Medan”.
