Abstract
Education is a very important thing in national development. In general, education is the learning of knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people that are passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research [3]. However, most practices in the world of education still use conventional methods, both in public relations and in writing report cards and determining student grades. The determination of student promotion is one thing that will have a major impact on student abilities, the learning environment, and the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this research is to utilize the Smart School Application, whose main function is to facilitate the work process in school institutions. This study uses the R&D development method, which consists of five steps, namely requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance. as well as using the KMeans algorithm as a system for determining and dividing classes for students who go to class. This Smart School application is webbased so that it is lightweight and easy to use. While the K-Means Algorithm will process 311 students' scores by creating 3 clusters for each class, namely A, B, and C. And the attributes used to calculate K-Means are 8 subjects and 7 types of personality possessed by each student.
