Abstract
This study aims to understand the meaning of integrating digital media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its impact on students’ religious practices at SMA N NA IX–X. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, focusing on the experiences and perceptions of teachers and students in using digital media in PAI learning. The data were collected from PAI teachers, students, and the school principal through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted phenomenologically through data reduction (epoché), meaning categorization, textual and structural description, and extraction of the essence of the phenomenon. The findings show that the integration of digital media is perceived as a tool that facilitates understanding of religious material, increases students’ motivation and engagement, and strengthens students’ religious practices, particularly in morning alms, manners toward teachers and peers, and congregational prayer. This study concludes that the use of digital media in PAI learning plays an important role in supporting students’ religious practices, provided that school facilities and teacher competencies are adequately prepared.
