Abstract

This study aims to improve children's communication skills through workshop activities. This study is expected to be an effective approach in improving early childhood communication by prioritizing creativity, social interaction, and a more enjoyable approach. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 16 children at TKQ Miftahul Jannah. Data collected through observation and documentation. The results of this study showed a significant increase in communication skills after the workshop activities were implemented in early childhood. This proves that communication with the help of finger puppet workshop activities is very effective for early childhood and is more fluent in communicating. This study recommends that teachers should often create interesting activities so that children's communication skills continue to improve. This study can be a reference for early childhood education to design more structured, creative, and enjoyable learning programs for children, especially in terms of communication development. This study recommends that teachers be more creative in conducting workshop activities and utilizing various media, especially in storytelling or group discussions, to encourage children to be more courageous in communicating, interacting, and conveying ideas.
