Abstract

Cases of sexual violence against children in North Sumatra Province are increasing, so that accompanying children as victims of sexual violence, as well as its legal regulations from the perspective of Positive Law from Islamic Criminal Law. This study aims to analyze the role of DP3A in handling victims of violence against children so that it does not increase in Medan City and reduce trauma in children. This research method uses an empirical legal method with a qualitative approach referring to the understanding and application of various methods that emphasize data collection in the form of text and descriptive descriptions of the phenomena studied, especially regarding case analysis. Strict legal implementation and ongoing support for victims are very important in preventing and handling sexual violence. Synergy between the Islamic Criminal Law approach is needed to ensure maximum protection for children. The role of the agency in assisting children as victims of sexual violence in the city of Medan acts as part of a national network to ensure protection in accordance with Law Number 32 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning domestic violence (KDRT) and Law Number 35 of 2014 Article 76C of Law 35 of 2014 concerning Child Abuse. The main tasks include monitoring violations of children's rights, community education, public policy advocacy, and handling concrete cases such as violence, exploitation, and discrimination against children
