Abstract
This research aims to reveal the philosophical values containedinthe Tapai Festival, which include religious, social, economic, local wisdom and cultural identity values. Using a qualitativemethod with an ethnographic approach, data was collectedthrough participant observation and in-depth interviews withtraditional leaders and local communities. The researchresultsshow that the Tapai Festival not only strengthens communitysolidarity, but also becomes a means to teach the youngergeneration about the importance of maintaining traditions andancestral heritage. These values are reflected in every stage of theceremony, from preparation to implementation, which is full ofsymbolism and deep meaning. Thus, the Tapai Festival traditionplays an important role in preserving the philosophical valuesofthe Batubara people and enriching Indonesia's cultural treasures
