Abstract

This thesisAppilcation Of Librarian Interpersonal Communication In Serving The Library Of Users In The High School Of Agricultural Science Plantation Agribusiness. This type of research is a qualitative study. As for the purpose of this study to determine the application of interpersonal communication. The techniques used for data collection are observation, interviews, and documentation. while the data analysis technique used three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing.This research was conducted in the library. From the results of the interview the researcher gives an idea that the application of librarian interpersonal communication in serving librarians in theLibrary Of Users In The High School Of Agricultural Science Agribusiness Plantation using Joseph A. Devito's theory can be seen from the results of research on the application of librarian interpersonal communication in serving librarians in theLibrary Of Users In The High School Of Agricultural Science Agribusiness Plantationit is effective according towith five general qualities to consider namely openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude, and equality. Some of the indications are, librarians who really like to communicate and even joke with the users, when there are users who are confused, the librarian immediately goes to the library to communicate about what the library is looking for, the librarian is friendly to the user, talks casually and exchanges opinions with the librarian and librarian who invites visitorscommunicate with a positive sense so that users feel comfortable in the library.the effectiveness of interpersonal communication in serving librarians in theLibrary Of Users In The High School Of Agricultural Science Agribusiness Plantationis also evident from the attitude of the librarian who serves all visitors well without differentiating between status, gender and position.
