Abstract

Workplace Injury is the same as a work accident, where the cause is due to work or the state of the work environment in an unorganized company. In general, work accidents can occur due to two factors, namely mechanical and environmental factors as well as human factors. The purpose of this study is to find the relationship of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to workplace injury workers in the production department of PT. Socfin Indonesia Tanah Gambus. The type of research used is quantitative research with cross sectional design, sampling techniques used that is total sampling with the number of samples as many as 83 people. The tool or instrument used is a questionnaire. The results showed that there is a relationship between the use of PPE and workplace injury with obtained p value 0.003. The conclusion of this study there is a relationship between the use of PPE and workplace injury. Therefore, researchers advise companies to further increase supervision regarding the use of PPE in workers, and it is also recommended for workers to use PPE during work in order to maintain safety.
