Abstract
The problem in this study is to examine the principal's task in increasing student graduation scores at SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency, which finally succeeded in increasing good student graduation scores, as seen from the 2017-2019 students' graduation scores which continued to increase with 100% percentage, students get a decent grade point average, and students are admitted to college, in a consistently evolving world of business and industry. To make it easier to follow and develop all that is obtained, the principalis constantly looking for solutions on the most appropriate way to maintain the quality of alumni. Then the principal is used as a motivation to increase the passing grade. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative analysis and takes place in SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency. Subjects in this study were principals and vice principals for student affairs. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation and the data analysis technique used was the Spradley model. To check the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the principal plays an important role in Improving the Graduation Value of Students /I in SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang Regency.
