Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) Fulfillment of national education standards in SMK Negeri 2 KisaranAsahan Regency; 2) Principals' strategies in an effort to meet national education standards in SMK Negeri 2 KisaranAsahan Regency; and 3) Constraints encountered in an effort to meet national education standards in SMK Negeri 2 KisaranAsahan Regency. This thesis research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Collection techniques use interview, observation and document study techniques, while to strengthen the validity of the findings and authenticity of the research, the researcher refers to the use of data validity standards consisting of creadibility, tranferability, dependability and comfirmability. The results of this study are: 1) Fulfillment of national educational standards in SMK Negeri 2 KisaranAsahan Regency as a whole has been met very well this is evidenced by the achievement of the Very Good (A) accreditation level of 7 (seven) expertise programs managed by SMK Negeri 2 Kisaran; 2) Principal's strategy in an effort to meet national education standards in State Vocational Schools 2 The range is the delegation of authority to subordinates based on their main tasks and duties, supervising, monitoring, evaluating and optimizing the resources of the school. The next strategy is to provide oppurtunities for educators and education personnel to attend education and trainning and teacher competency competition. “Coffee Morning” is held on Monday after the flag ceremony to evaluate the learning process for one week and inform everything that is need. Factors that also influence the fulfillment of SNP in SMK Negeri 2 Kisaran are commitment and cohesiveness, loyalty with leaders, involvement in decision making; 3) The constraints experienced in meeting national education standarts in the SMK Negeri 2 Kisaran range are the abuse of authority commited by the previous school.
