Abstract
Contextual inquiry learning has been widely studied as an effective strategy in elementary education. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of contextual inquiry learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SDN 101764 Bandar Klippa Medan. This research approach uses qualitative research with a phenomenological design, data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that the contextual inquiry method is effective in increasing student engagement, understanding of the material, and critical thinking skills. However, the main obstacles include time constraints, student readiness for independent learning, and the need for supporting facilities. Research recommendations include teacher training, optimization of time management, and provision of learning facilities to support the success of this strategy.
