Abstract

In 2022, Indonesia will produce 48.24 million tons of CPO annually. With results of this size, it is believed to produce more than 55% of world palm oil production. However, behind the abundant production of palm oil there are consequences that are often suffered by workers, especially palm oil harvesters, for example complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). The aim of this research is to determine whether there is a relationship between work posture and work period on complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). This research uses quantitative methods with the Quick Exposure Checklist measuring instrument and the Nordic Body Map sheet. The results obtained were that there was a relationship between work posture p value (P = 0.0 < 0.05) and work mass with value (P = 0.02 < 0.05). It is recommended in this research that both harvesters and companies collaborate to improve harvesters' work posture to prevent the occurrence of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).
