Abstract
Used cooking oil is included in the type of waste because its acid and peroxide levels increase. Cinnamon (cinnanomum burmannii) is a plant that empirically and scientifically has strong anti-bacterial properties. The research aims to find out the results of soap quality from several tests. This research was carried out from October to November 2023, the sample consisted of used cooking oil. The method used in this research is a laboratory experimental method designed descriptively and through several research stages including oil refining, oil clarification, soap making, organoleptic tests, pH tests, foam height tests, free alkali tests and antibacterial tests. The organoleptic test results obtained in treatments A0, A1 and A2 had a dark red and clear color, smelled of used cooking oil and had a thick texture. The pH test results for all treatments have the same pH, namely 11. In the test, the foam height of treatments A0, A1 and A2 was 8.8 mm, 2.9 mm and 1.3 mm. The free alkali test in treatments A0, A1 and A2 was 0.005%, 0.003% and 0.004%. The antibacterial test results for treatments A0, A1 and A2 had an average of 10.2 mm, 16.5 mm. 20.2mm. The conclusion obtained in this research is that liquid floor cleaning soap made from used cooking oil has a distinctive cinnamon smell, a thick liquid texture and dark red color, has a pH of 11 which is alkaline.
