Abstract

In Indonesia, the percentage of stunted toddlers is 21.6%. According to SSGI data in 2022, the rate of stunting in Langkat District is 18.6%. At the Tangkahan Durian Health Center, the number of cases of stunted toddlers continues to increase. In 2022, there were seven cases, and in 2023, there were eighteen cases. The purpose of this study is to see how the policy of accelerating and controlling stunting in the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) Movement Program is implemented in the working area of Puskesmas Tangkahan Durian, Langkat Regency. This research will use descriptive qualitative methodology and take place from March to May 2024. The informants in this study were the Head of Puskesmas Tangkahan Durian, Community Nutrition Coordinator, Maternal and Child Health Coordinator, Health Promotion Coordinator, health cadres, and mothers of toddlers. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, indepth interviews and document studies. The results showed that the input element, namely the availability of human resources, was available but many officers complained that they still needed additional staff support and infrastructure facilities were still inadequate, there was no special funding for the implementation of specific nutrition intervention activities. The planning carried out for this process is still the same as the previous year, and everything runs smoothly in the division of labor, a total of 6 out of 10 indicators of program achievement in the output element have reached the target.
