Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the effectiveness of the Al-Qur'an Tahfizh program inMiddle School Tahfizh Azhar Center North Labuhan Batu Regency. This research method is qualitative with descriptive research type. This study used data collection procedures in the form of observation, interviews, literature review and documentation utilization. The analysis in this study uses interactive data analysis with the pre-field stage, the implementation stage, the data analysis stage, the conclusion stage and the reporting stage. The results of the study show that 1. the tahfizh program is scheduled, has a murojaah program, has memorization targets, has output and input standards for students and has special criteria for teachers/ustazah who become tahfidz supervisors. 2. The method used in the tahfidz Al-Qur'an Excellence program at the Tahfizh Azhar Center Junior High School is one of the murajaah methods, The talaqqi method, the jami' method, the sima' method (listening to each other's readings), the musyafahah method (memory deposits) and the book method. 3. The Tahfidz Qur'an Program at the Tahfizh Azhar Center Junior High School is supported by adequate facilities, first, namely sufficient classrooms and rooms for students to learn, memorizing huts and mosques which are adequate for students to use before depositing their memorization to the teacher, thirdly, the availability of adequate Al-Qur'an books, both students bring their own to use when studying in their rooms or can use the Al-Qur'an provided at the mosque which comes from waqf from the Islamic boarding school for students, fourthly, there is multimedia in the form of sound and television which used to view and listen to murotal videos. 4. Nearly 72% of students at the Tahfizh Azhar Center Junior High School met the final target in the flagship program, namely Tahfizh Al-Qur'an, while 27% of students did not meet the final target in the flagship program, namely Tahfizh Al�Qur'an. The target for memorization at the Tahfizh Azhar Center Junior High School is 15 Juz but it is adjusted to the ability of the students, because each student does not have the same ability so that the guidance of a competent Ustadzah is needed in his field.
