Abstract

The implementation of No Smoking Areas (KTR) in hospitals is an effort to protect the community against the risk of health problems due to the environment polluted by cigarette smoke. But in fact the habit of smoking is still visible, without realizing that other people around him inhale the smoke that comes out of the smoker's mouth. This habit is a behavior that will affect his health. The general purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the Implementation of Binjai Mayor Regulation Number 6 of 2017 concerning Non-Smoking Areas at RSU Bangkatan Binjai. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach using in-depth interview methods tailored to the problem topic and observation to obtain accurate data according to research needs. The results of this research show that KTR implementation is still not running well dueto lack of information and community support in implementing this policy. It can be known that there are still violators committed by violators, researchers still find visitors and hospital employees who still smoke in the KTR area of the hospital. This is because there are no strict sanctions given in the KTR regulations.
